Ben Krause : Dimension independent bounds for the spherical maximal function on products of finite groups (Feb 23, 2015 11:55 AM)

The classical Hardy-Littlewood maximal operators (averaging over families of Euclidean balls and cubes) are known to satisfy L^p bounds that are independent of dimension. This talk will extend these results to spherical maximal functions acting on Cartesian products of cyclic groups equipped with the Hamming metric.
